Historic Preservation
Marathon County Historical Society – Wausau, WI
Conducted feasibility study and managed campaign to raise approximately $4M to match a Jeffris Family Foundation challenge grant of $1M. Raised more than $3M in the first few months of the campaign; goal was exceeded. Funds were used to restore Yawkey and Woodson Houses.
Mid-Continent Railway Museum – New Freedom, WI
Completed a campaign to raise $975,000 to match a Jeffris Family Foundation challenge grant. Campaign exceeded goal despite severe flooding conditions that closed the museum near the end of the campaign.
Pabst Mansion – Milwaukee, WI
The campaign goal is $23,000,000 to fully restore the Mansion, preserve the Pavilion and expand into a new Frederick Pabst Cultural Center. Campaign is in the early stages; the first gift was $600,000 and a Grand Circle membership program has been developed for annual support.
Potosi Brewery Restoration Project – Potosi, WI
Conducted feasibility study and assisted in implementing campaign to raise $3.4M to restore the Potosi Brewery as an economic development venture for Southwest Wisconsin. The project is located in a town of 700 people and was chosen over St. Louis and Milwaukee as the site of the National Breweriana Museum.
Al. Ringling Theatre – Baraboo, WI
Conducted a campaign planning study to determine the potential of raising $3M to fully restore the theatre for the Centennial in November 2015. A three-phase campaign is in process. Phase 1 to “Raise the Roof” is complete; $150,000 was raised to repair the roof over the auditorium. Phase II includes a Jeffris Family Foundation challenge grant of $533,013. Phase III is for $1M for the remaining elements needed for a complete restoration.
Libraries
Milton Public Library raised $2,800,000.
Belleville Library raised $1,000,000 in private funds and groundbreaking has just occurred.
Marshfield Public Library raised $5,400,000 for the Library and Community Center.
Eager Free Library in Evansville raised $1,500,00; the new library is under construction.
Schreiner Memorial Library – Lancaster, WI
Conducted a campaign planning study to determine if the goal of $3.3M for renovation and expansion of the new library could be accomplished. The city made a generous gift of $1M and a campaign for $2.3M has been launched with more than $1M raised, including two gifts of $200,000 and development of campaign segments for 100 Women, 100 Families, and the Outdoor Performance Area.
Fitchburg Community Library – Fitchburg, WI
Completed the feasibility study for this “library of the future” that will encompass the latest library technology, innovative design and a site that will serve as a nucleus for the community. Campaign is completed with $3,700,000 raised.
Prairie du Sac Public Library – Prairie du Sac, WI
Developed campaign strategies to move library into the former Culver's headquarters and to restore the building as a new library. The campaign is complete with more than $1.4M raised in 8 months.
South Central Library System – Wisconsin
Conducted a feasibility study and worked to recruit volunteers, develop strategies and solicit initial gifts to build an innovative endowment fund for all the libraries within the South Central Library System. Annual fund raising events continue to build this fund.
Other Not-for-Profit Organizations
Capital Fund Raising Committee – Madison, WI
Served as part-time staff to this committee of Chief Executive Officers under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce. Committee reviews plans for and schedules all capital campaigns conducted in the city.
