A Team Built for Community-Centered Campaigns

The Sweeney Group brings extensive nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience to every engagement.

We work closely with staff, board members, volunteers, and community leaders to create practical strategies shaped around each organization’s mission, needs, and opportunities.

Our role is not simply to deliver a plan. We help assemble the right team, build confidence, and provide the tools people need to move forward together.

COMPLIMENTARY EXPERIENCE

Fundraising expertise meets real leadership.

The team understands both sides of the campaign conversation: how to build philanthropic support and how to keep the project aligned with your organizations operations, services, and community impact.

One Coordinated Team

Jodi Sweeney is a nationally recognized fundraising consultant whose career has centered on helping nonprofit organizations turn ambitious community priorities into achievable plans. Her experience spans capital campaign planning and implementation, feasibility studies, board and staff retreats, annual development planning, and resource development audits.

She has held executive and leadership roles with the Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools, the Capital Fund Raising Committee, Madison Community Foundation, and Alford, VerSchave & Associates. Jodi is especially known for guiding organizations through their first capital campaigns with clarity, candor, and respect for the strengths already present in the community.

Nick Dimassis brings senior public library leadership and a deep understanding of how libraries serve as civic, educational, and cultural anchors. His experience helps clients connect a proposed building, renovation, or service expansion to the outcomes donors and community leaders care about.

Nick supports campaign narrative development, stakeholder alignment, strategic planning, and the practical coordination required among library professionals, boards, municipalities, friends groups, foundations, and volunteers.
